Jeanne was the mother of Alain Maurel, the founder of Maison Ventenac, and thus Stéphanie’s paternal grandmother.
"La Réserve de Jeanne" was the cuvee on which Maison Ventenac’s reputation was built, so it was natural that it should bear her name.
