AOC Médoc Cru Bourgeois - Chateau La Chandellière - Red wine

Recognized for its quality, this small family property of 14 hectares is located between the ocean and the Gironde, the Médoc enjoys a microclimate very favorable to the culture of the vine.

Nose : Expressive nose with notes of jammy fruits: raspberry, blackcurrant and blackberry. When aired, the wine reveals spicier notes of toast and cocoa beans.

Palate : On the palate the wine is opulent and rich with a silky substance. The mid-palate is creamy with a nice freshness. Aged 12 months in barrels.

Serving temperature : Serve at room temperature and decant for 2 hours.

Ageing potential : To be drank in 1 to 3 years, or to store in a cellar for 10 to 15 years

Wine pairing : Red meat, strong cheese.

Since the beginning of the 20th century, vines have been cultivated on the property. Three generations have succeeded one another with the same desire to produce a Médoc wine.

On his arrival, grandfather Pierre Secret recreated the disappeared vineyard and made a quality wine. The two eldest sons having created their own winery, it is the younger son Bruno who took over the business in 1990 and until the 2007 vintage he will work on the notoriety of the cru.

The grandsons Guillaume and Thibaud joined Hubert and Didier Secret in the adventure. The four of them share the different tasks: Didier and Guillaume the vine, Hubert and Thibaut vinify Château La Chandellière.
