AOC Cahors - Clos La Coutale "Grand Coutale" - Red Wine

Wonderfully complex. Produced in only a few thousand bottles, and then only during the great vintages, Grand Coutale is an exceptional cuvée that receives the utmost care. This wine is (without hesitation) one of the best Cahors wines !

Nose : Pleasingly ripe red fruit with a hint of wood and vanilla.

Palate : This wine is aged for two years in a selection of new barrels after the end of alcoholic fermentation. Frequent stirring of the fine lees produces supple, silky tannins. On the palate, it is delicious and well-balanced, with notes of blackberry and cocoa.

Serving temperature : 16/18°C - 2 hours in carafe prior to serve

Ageing Potential : Perfect to drink now but you can also age it for 12 years                

Wine pairing : Ideal with duck, red meat even with a lamb mouse or a barbecue.
